Hello, My name is Dr. Janeen Osei. I am currently 32 years old and I am a staff pharmacist in Walmart’s Central Fill Pharmacy based in Frederick, MD. What motivated me in the world of pharmacy was always following my dad into his pharmacy as a little girl in Ghana and just being intrigued by the people of different walks of life coming in for guidance in their health. 

I am a graduate of the University of New England School of Pharmacy. During my time in both my undergrad (Bowie State University, BS in Biology) and graduate studies, I managed to achieve some skills in communication, public speaking, biological science research, patient counseling, scientific writing, pharmacotherapy and some basic skills in Spanish, and software skills such as UNIX, R-Studio and Microsoft Office. I am driven individual who does not shy away from achieving the best results and putting all my skills to work well to the best of my abilities. I am easily out going and extroverted. I work well with people and always love to collaborate with people to learn from them and also have them learn from me. I am a go-getter and even if the odds the are against me, I do my best to challenge any obstacles before me. 

I am in the advanced category when it comes to using databases, taking notes due to the nature of the positions in working in the Library at my school and also being a research lab assistant. I have the opportunity to present research findings in several research and poster symposiums. My internships during my fourth year of Pharmacy school also gave me the opportunity to construct and present several journal club articles, patient presentations and inservice projects to other healthcare providers and to people in the general public.
