As founder of Renova Counseling, LCC I’d like to introduce myself, I’m Danny Cardenas a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Board-Certified Supervisor with over a decade of diverse clinical experience. As a bilingual clinician fluent in both English and Spanish, I offer a safe and supportive space where you can explore your challenges and find a path toward healing and growth. I am licensed to see clients in Maryland, Virginia, Texas, and Washington D.C.

I also have significant experience in crisis intervention and substance abuse, offering a steady and calm presence during times of high stress. Going on to attend Howard University for a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. The University of Maryland University College for a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Diversity Awareness. And finally, The Chicago School of Professional Psychology for M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. With a focus on Trauma and how Adverse Childhood Experiences impact those in marginalized communities. Ashley noticed not only the negative stigma surrounding mental health but also the gap in resources and support and a desire to work to meet the need.
Ashley is a compassionate counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) dedicated to providing a holistic approach to healing and wellness, particularly within the BIPOC community. With experience working in schools, juvenile detention centers, and outpatient mental health clinics, Ashley has developed a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals in marginalized communities.
